Credentials

Ralph "Rafael" Rosado

  • Former City Manager of another Miami-Dade County municipality.
  • 30+ year resident of our city, and 20+ years in our district, where he and his wife raised their three children.
  • Graduated from Princeton University, studied City Planning and obtained a dual Master’s in Public Policy & Urban Planning.
  • Deep local roots — a neighbor, not part of a political dynasty.

Jose Fransisco Regalado

  • Part of the broken system that has cost taxpayers like you over $63 million.1
  • Never held any positions in our community outside political appointments.2
  • Previously led the City of Miami’s Building Department — one of the city’s most developer- connected agencies.

Personal Character

Ralph "Rafael" Rosado

  • Professor at FIU and the University of Miami.
  • Top Latino Leader by Latino Leaders Magazine.
  • Former Chairman of the Miami Forever Bond Citizens’ Oversight Board, promoting transparency and fiscal responsibility.
  • Miami Fellow and active leader in civic service.

Jose Fransisco Regalado

  • Collected over $150,000 a year in taxpayer-funded salary while working as a City Hall bureaucrat.3
  • Worked in the City of Miami’s Building Department  when the city collected over $76 million in excessive building permit fees.4
  • Oversaw a permitting system that rubber- stamped approvals for politically connected developers, ignored violations, and left neighborhoods vulnerable to unchecked development.5

ENDORSEMENTS

Ralph "Rafael" Rosado

  • City of Miami Fraternal Order of Police.
  • City of Miami’s frontline workers.
  • Our neighbors.
  • Trusted by those who keep our city running — not by those looking to sell it out.

Jose Fransisco Regalado

  • Developers.6
  • City Hall Insiders.6
  • Special Interest Groups.6
  • Trusted by those destroying our city.6

Platform

Ralph "Rafael" Rosado

  • Fight for taxpayers, not special interests.
  • Lower property taxes and provide much needed relief to seniors.
  • Keep our neighborhoods safe, standing with local police and emergency services.
  • Bring a community-first vision: traffic relief, green spaces, infrastructure, and flood protection — not unchecked density.
  • End backroom deals and start to put residents first.

Jose Fransisco Regalado

  • Continue the same approach that led to unchecked development in City Hall.7
  • No stance on lowering taxes or providing relief for seniors.8
  • Weaken tree protections, having already opposed efforts to strengthen the city’s tree ordinance to side with developers.9
  • Protect the status quo — offering no real solutions for flooding, traffic, or neighborhood preservation.10
  • Advance the interests of lobbyists and insiders, just as he did while working in the Building Department.11
